In the book "The year of the dog" I like the main character Pacy a lot. She is very nice and she cares a lot about her family and her friends. For example her family believes that the longer the kids will stay up at night the longer their parents live. When her mom told her to go to sleep because there was school the next day she got really worried because she thought that it was really important that she stays up late so her parents will have a long life.But something else made me connect to her. At the beginning of the book Pacy saw that a new girl came to the school she was really interested to know all about her. She went to her and sat next to her and wanted to know everything about her. On the first day of school me and my friend saw a new girl in school and like Pacy we wanted to know everything about her! And like Pacy and her 2 friends we became like a 3 best friends. When I read that part I had like flash back! I think that because Pacy has so much in common with the new girl they would be very good friends. I am really interested in finishing to read this book because you can understand the book a lot better when you have so may things in common with the main character!
